Zuri Hotel

Terrible! The first day the room was properly unclean, a bit noisy due to the heating system, and the last day there was a terrible smell. Then we tried the restaurant for lunch. We waited 1.5 h without receiving what with asked. In addition, we noticed that to the Restaurant director and they make us pay the full total! Even the menu is very limited and not use friendly. Most of the staff does not spear in english and do not consider you. However, the building is very nice with a high potential. The spa works very well.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful, specious rooms. The pools are nice, but they are lacking sun beds. Nice breakfast buffet, everyone definitely can find something delicious to eat. The food in restaurant also were tasty. Room service was on point when requested. Definitely, I would suggest this hotel if you are staying or passing by Coron.

Definitely not worth a star! You get two complimentary bottled water, and then have to pay for the extra bottle at forty five pesos each. In my 35 years of hotel experience around the globe, this is first time I am required to pay for bottled water in a hotel. They also charged me for two bottles, when eventually they gave me only one. Not even the hotels in the poorest country I have visited has charged me for an extra bottle. Also, the Wi-Fi does not work at all!

I love everything in this hotel except for two (2) things which I will detail later in this review. But first off, I want to mention the things that I'm impressed about. Front Desk clerks were very professional and will make you feel welcome upon checking in. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is modern and clean as well. Their breakfast buffet is phenominal. Lots of options to choose from and were cooked with love for they are all very delicious 😋 All the staff including the housekeeping, servers, bellmen, guards, everyone that works there (including the parking guy) are very helpful, very courteous, very professional. Now to the negative part and I do hope the management pays attention to this and make necessary changes or improvement: 1) The airconditioning unit is very jurassic in such a way that it's making a super loud noise and you won't get a sleep unless you take a sleep aid or are super drunk. On top of this, establishments around the hotel plays live band and karaoke so the window insulation is bad. I booked in this hotel twice during my visit and airconditioning unit in both rooms are super loud so I'm assuming all rooms are like this. 2) Gym has got very few equipments (I think 3 total) and two of them were broken. The 2nd time I checked-in after couple weeks, these equipments were still broken. The airconditioning unit here is the quiet type but doesn't blow enough cold air. Almost perfect except for these two issues and hopefully they address these issues soon.

I stayed here because of the accessibility of location. But be prepared for the following: the wifi drops connection every 5-10mins and phone reception is very bad. There’s a very dusty smell at the lobby. They asked me “were you made aware of the 30% additional for card transactions?” 30%!! And I clarified I am using a DEBIT card not a credit card. The lady didn’t know the difference so I paid 30% extra for the charge. This was the biggest disappointment at all: I asked for a bottled water for the trip back to the airport (2,600 php for the trip). The reception couldn’t give me water, the breakfast area sent me back to the reception. No one knows how they could hand me a simple bottled water. Stayed for 7 nights there and never going back for my next trips. That’s why it’s called Zuri —- you’ll be sorry
